Ensures a defect-free and high-level quality product is released for sale to our customers and coordinates an efficient final inspection operation in accordance with product demand by shipping. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
3 years relevant production or quality environment experience required
Knowledge of garment construction and quality standards as applied to CrewBoss products.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
ERP knowledge preferred, but not required.
Performs inspection on incoming finished garments.
-Trimming of excess thread left by Production, as needed
-Inspection of all labeling requirements (NFPA and size labels) in accordance with internal and regulatory requirements
-Inspection of garments for defects (missing features, flaws, stains, etc.)
-Product inspection against Work Order and provided specification sheets, as applicable
Maintain appropriate and prompt documentation on defects/issues detected, and ensures discrepant garments are rejected promptly for repair to appropriate production area/staff.
Meets frequently with Quality Supervisor and Production staff, as necessary to ensure priority is placed on products that are demanded by Shipping for order fulfillment.
Maintains an efficient and effective work place.
-Maintains work place organization and cleanliness
-Maintains and reports issues with tools and/or equipment specific to inspection area
Supports and adheres to all ISO and UL requirements as well as Continual Improvement initiatives by:
-Tracking material defects and defective finished product/goods
-Adhering to regulatory and statutory (NFPA/UL) requirements
Supports a safe work environment.
-Reports any unsafe issues/concerns to Quality Supervisor
Must be able to read and interpret internal specifications provided with garment, as applicable
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
Must demonstrate initiative; be able to work independently
Ability to be adaptable and flexible to changing workplace priorities
Ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a fast-paced environment
